Why is Group Work  So Beneficial?

Lorem ipsum

  • The women's circle of Cedar provided the framework and support to delve deeply into the truth of being me. [...] The facilitators hold a clear and expansive space for witnessing and exploring the subtle self with integrity. I am devoted to personal development and wellbeing in community and have found this sisterhood to be a resonant, healthy and expansive place to envision and show up as my authentic self.

  • I’m living proof that everyone (calling all humans) can benefit from doing group work. Inner Wild has provided me with an arsenal of relational tools and skill sets that are so simply presented and graciously taught. 9 simple words have changed my ability to communicate … “something I need you to know about me is …”. Something I need you to know is that I’m not losing time wishing I had learnt these skills in school. I’m putting my energy and focus into sharing the good and teaching with those wanting to grow. IWS gave me the safe and sacred container to unpack my tender spots and heal some of my wounds. I continue to marvel at the magical powers of this container and the participant's ability to be my mirror and muse and to lead me closer to the salt and light of living the life I always wanted.

  • I came into this group, hoping I’d have a peer support group, a group where I could come and let out all my frustrations of the day, week, lifetime. I wanted to make bff’s and build relationships. Did my hopes come true? No, definitely not. But needs were met that I didn’t even know I had; I was given tools to deal with life’s frustrations and problems, I was taught methods of how to know me so that I could have healthy boundaries and in turn healthy relationships. I was shown that I need to know how I am feeling so that I could either 1) take care of my needs and 2) give from a fuller container. My biggest takeaway (and also the hardest part of the sessions) was emptying buckets: through this, I’ve learned that when given a chance 1) I should just say everything and not bottle it up and 2) allow others to speak without interrupting nor judgment and let them let it all out.

  • My time with Cedar has been uplifting, encouraging, enlightening and restful. With the container provided, a confidential non-judgemental open community, I was able to express what I was honestly feeling/experiencing at the time. I was able to be myself and that was DELIGHTFUL. As well, holding space was tough but I can see huge benefits in developing this further. The tools shared will support me in relationships and exploring my inner wild for the rest of my life. THANK YOU!!
