Frequently Asked Questions

Who are your groups for anyhow?

Our group spaces are curated specifically for women.

We invite all those who self-identify as women, are 19+ and are in alignment with our values and code to join. Our community is inclusive of women of all ages, sexual orientations and ethnicities.

What’s the point of participating in your groups?

Inner Wild was created to meet a need that we kept hearing from women.

The focus of our group work is to foster community and connection amongst women while simultaneously creating a structured space for women to deepen their knowledge of themselves by engaging in their own personal growth.

**Please note that Inner Wild groups and programs are not intended for advertising personal offerings or business networking.

I’m a coach, therapist, reiki practitioner, massage therapist, is this group right for me?

Of course!

We’d love to have you and we currently have a number of women in these roles participating in our spaces.

The scope of our work is vulnerable and oftentimes deeply personal. In this respect, we aim to provide spaces for women to gain personal support while also fostering meaningful connection with women so that they feel supported in life, therefore we kindly ask that you refrain from using our group spaces as opportunities for business networking or advertisement your personal offerings.

There’re a ton of other women’s groups out there, why should I join yours?

We’ve got experience!

Not to mention that we’ve been around for more than a minute.

But seriously, we’ve been specializing in women’s specific group work for five years in British Columbia. (Not to mention the additional years we’ve worked in other provinces doing this work). We’ve also taken group work classes, sat in our own groups, and we regularly nerd out on the newest literature about…wait for it…GROUP WORK! We love and believe in its effectiveness which is also why we’re also committed to receiving regularly monthly ethical accountability and supervision.

What should I expect from one of your meetings?

We connect with one another through sharing, reflection and mutual support. The flavor of each group is slightly different, however the basic foundation for each group includes a meeting once a week that is 2-2.5 hrs in length depending on the group. Please note that many of our groups runs continuously throughout the year.

During a meeting you can expect that all of our groups will begin with a land acknowledgement and confidentiality, followed by some combination of movement or breathing, open sharing, pair work, and group discussion surrounding a particular theme and loads of CONNECTION TIME to make new friends!

Can I check out a meeting before I decide to commit?

Unfortunately no.

We practice confidentiality in our spaces and so out of respect for existing members we don't offer this option, as it compromises the integrity of the container.

Do your groups require a commitment?

Yes!

Commitment is important in this type of work, so we ask that you commit for a minimum three months. We also find that three months is a good amount of time for women to begin forging new friendships and connections within our groups. Before applying, please consider if an ongoing commitment fits into your life and schedule as this is a requirement.

How much is the investment?

Continuous group membership rates are $100 per month.

Our rates differ for our short term programs, please connect with us to inquire.

How often do you add new members to your groups?

We add new members to our groups 2-3 times per year.

We have 2 established intakes per year, these take place at the beginning of February and September. This means that applications and intake calls from new or returning group members must be received and conducted prior to these months.

At times, we also offer a small summer intake based on the availability of seats as well as the demand for . (*Please note that if our groups are full, we may not offer an intake to new or returning members during our regular intake times).

Are group fees refundable?

All group fees are non-refundable.

A refund will only be provided in the unlikely event that a group or program does not occur.

Why do you require a fee to join? Shouldn’t this type of thing be free?!

We require a fee to participate in Inner Wild Sisterhood as a fee payment is a statement of commitment, not to mention an investment into our personal growth and healing.

Generally speaking, we place greater value on the things we pay for.
